Debbie Wood is the Director of Special Events for The University of Texas at Tyler. She has 21 years’ experience in this field, and in this role she provides a centralized standard of excellence, quality, and protocol to the offices of the President and University Advancement.
In 2002 she received her Economic Development Institute (EDI) Certificate of Completion. She is a member of ISES International Special Events Society—Dallas Chapter, Association of Fundraising Professionals─East Texas Chapter Board Member; Leadership Tyler Class 20, currently serving on the Leadership Tyler Marketing Committee; and a member of the Northeast Texas Economic Development Roundtable, President, 2005 – 2006.
