Sally Webb Berry, CSEP is CEO of The Special Event Company, with offices in North Carolina, USA and London, England. Sally began her event career in 1986 from a background in sports PR and sponsorship.
Her company has won numerous international event management awards for their work including five Special Event Gala awards, nine ISES ESPRIT awards, and five EVIE awards. In addition, Sally was voted ‘International Event Producer of the Year’ by Event Solutions Magazine in 2004. In 2008, Sally received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the European International Special Events Society (ISES).
Over the past two decades, Sally has produced events in over 20 countries throughout Europe, USA and Asia. The Special Event Company delivers live communications through events, meetings and fundraisers for a diverse clientele including companies in financial services, technology, pharmaceuticals, media, sports, education and non-profits.
Industry leadership and professional development is of key importance. She is a regular lecturer in event management around the world, speaking at numerous conferences and universities including the CIBER program at the University of California at Los Angeles and Temple University in Philadelphia. Sally is also a regular guest lecturer at NC State University and Oxford Brooks in the United Kingdom.
Sally is a founding member and former President of the United Kingdom Chapter of the International Special Events Society, and past Regional Vice President for the Euro-Africa Region. She currently sits on the Certification Committee for ISES and was the first European to obtain the Certified Special Event Planner (CSEP) designation.
