                                                      TRAVEL INFORMATION

                                                      Host Hotel
                                                      The AEP 2012 host hotel is the Hyatt Regency Tampa, located at 211 N. Tampa Street, Tampa FL 33602.  We have secured a reduced rate of $179 per night, plus tax.  Reservations can be made via phone by calling 1-888-421-1442 and using the group name "Academic Event Professional."  Alternately, you can make reservations online here.  Please make your reservations as early as possible, as space is limited.  The cut off date to receive this reduced rate is January 6, 2012.  After this date you will be charged the full rack rate if rooms are still available.

                                                      If you have a vehicle, there is both valet and self-parking available.  Valet is charged at $18 per day, including in/out privileges.  Self-parking is available for $14 per day with in/out privileges.

                                                      The Hyatt Regency Tampa is conveniently located just a couple of blocks from the Tampa Convention Center (333 South Franklin Street, Tampa, FL 33602) and is an easy walk.  


                                                      Air Travel
                                                      Academic Event Professional has partnered with American Airlines to provide our attendees  a 5% discount off ANY published airfare on www.aa.com for AEP 2012 in Tampa, FL. The valid travel dates for this discount are January 18-27, 2012.  You can easily access American’s fares and apply this discount by going to www.aa.com/group to book your flight. Place the below Promotion Code in the promotion code box and your discount will be calculated automatically. This special discount is valid off any applicable published fares listed for American Airlines, American Eagle, and American Connection. International originating guests will need to contact your local reservation number and refer to the Promotion Code.  Please note that a separate ticketing charge ($25.00) will apply for all telephone reservations.

                                                      Ground Transportation
                                                      From the Tampa International Airport you can get a taxi that will take you to the Hyatt Regency Tampa in approximately 30 minutes at a flat rate of $25.

                                                      AVIS is offering AEP attendees a 20-25% discount on car rentals, valid January 15-31, 2012.  You can make your reservations online here!



                                                      The Stetson University Law Center (venue for Sunday January 22) is located at 1200 N. Tampa Street.  While it is a fairly brief walk, AEP will be providing buses to shuttle attendees Hyatt Regency Tampa to the venue on Sunday January 22.  Departure buses will be available from 1:30 to 1:45 pm to take you to the Stetson University Law Center.  Return buses will be shuttling between Stetson University Law Center and the Hyatt Regency Tampa from 6:30 until 7:30 pm.  If you will have a vehicle, please note that there is plentiful free parking behind the Stetson University Law Center.
