We're thrilled to announce that the University of Texas at Austin will host the next Academic Event Professional (AEP) Conference! We are, once again, aligning our event dates with Catersource + The Special Event Conference and Tradeshow (TSE) and working with the TSE planning team to ensure that our AEP attendees get the most out of both conferences!

The conference will begin at the AT&T Conference Center on the UT Austin Campus the morning of Sunday, February 11, and will end Tuesday mid-day on-site at The Special Event Conference at the nearby Austin Covention Center.

Why Attend?: The Academic Event Professional (AEP) Conference provides a rare opportunity for event planners in academe to receive tailored professional development, network with one another, and visit with vendors that specialize in products for academic environments. Attracting both seasoned planners and industry newcomers, the conference focuses on topics unique to higher education events and helps them share - and create - best practices for the field.

Attendee Policy: Academic Event Professional (AEP) is an organization created and managed by academic event professionals for the benefit of providing educational and networking opportunities. Attendance at the AEP Conference is limited primarily to event professionals employed directly by, or emeriti of higher education institutions, and sponsors of the AEP Conference.

The cost is $695 for early bird registration (through November 30) and $795 thereafter.

Interested in brining your team of 3 or more with you to this conference? We’re happy to offer a discount of $20 off per registrant when you register 3 or more attendees from the same institution!

CANCELLATION POLICY: Any cancellations 60 days out are eligible for a full refund, 30 days out a 50% refund, and within 30 days will have funds applied to 2025 AEP registration.

Sunday, February 11: welcome session & keynote, lunch, five (5) breakout sessions, sponsor expo and a networking welcome reception

Monday, February 12: breakfast and lunch, table top sessions, idea gallery, sponsor expo, two (2) breakout sessions, general session and a networking reception

Tuesday, February 13*: three (3) breakout sessions co-hosted by The Special Event Conference and AEP (*on-site at The Special Event Conference)

HOTEL & TRAVEL

You may book within the block for The Special Event Show here: Hotel Block. They have multiple hotels to choose from that are within a short 5-10 minute drive or rideshare to the AT&T Conference Center on the UT Austin Campus.
